Football team news

A big well done to all our football stars today in Primary and Secondary! The Primary team had great fun and showed great sportsmanship with a well deserved result winning 4-0!

Well done to the Goal Keeper who was amazing and showed no fear! She also played her Primary game and made some fantastic saves. There were three great goals from Alfie in the first half, Alfie was a strong member of the team and showed great leadership.  Kieron stayed alert making good choices through the game and really got stuck in passing the ball and defending brilliantly!

Other players really got involved and proved to be team players. It was great to see some leadership throughout the game and players communicating to their team mates and listening well. Harvey was full of energy and put 110% in winning the ball back and attacking! Harvey also scored a fantastic goal in the second half.

The Secondary Team also battled well against very big opposing players on a particularly small pitch.  They never gave up, always tried to pass and move and at times showed some silky skills.  Despite the 5-0 score line they  showed the future potential of their passing game and showed many nice touches. The FAW ‘super hoops’ were: Reece, Owen, Oliver, Jessica, Catherine and Kiri.
