World Down Syndrome Awareness and Red Nose Day – Friday 21st March
Pupils are welcome to come to school wearing something red, and/or odd socks, or just something that makes you smile to raise awareness of Down syndrome, and funds for Comic Relief.
Many people around the world with Down syndrome don’t get the support they need. This years theme emphasises the importance of Governments improving support systems, so people with disabilities are included in the community. The “Lots Of Socks” campaign helps to spread awareness of Down Syndrome and gets people talking! You can read more about World Down Syndrome Day, and this years theme here: 2025 Theme – World Down Syndrome Day
Additionally, Comic Relief is celebrating its 40th year this year! Every year, the event raises funds to support projects that provide practical support to those facing challenges in the UK and around the globe. By donating just £1, you will be directly contributing to this important cause.
Let’s come together to support both causes and make a difference!
