About Us

Maidstone Specialist Teaching and Learning Service (STLS) are part of Five Acre Wood School.  We work together with Bower Grove School to provide advice, support and training to schools and Early Years Settings within the Maidstone district.  The collaborative working of both special schools has ensured that pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the Maidstone district receive high quality specialist interventions and support to ensure their successful inclusion within a mainstream setting.  Maidstone STLS organise and run the Local Inclusion Forum Team (LIFT) Process along with the Kent Educational Psychology Service, LIFT provides a structure to support schools within the District.
