Five Acre Wood School gifted fully accessible wheelchair trampoline
We have been very fortunate to have been given a £14,704 donation from the Morrisons Foundation in order to install a wheelchair trampoline, giving all of our pupils more opportunity to access fully inclusive outdoor play.
Sharon Sidebottom, Community Champion of the Morrisons store in Maidstone, enjoyed meeting some of our pupils and handing over the cheque. She said “It’s great to see a local charity benefit from money raised by the carrier bag charge. I’m really pleased that the Morrisons Foundation was able to make this donation and hope that children at the school can enjoy the trampoline for many years to come”.
A group of our students, pictured above, were proud to go along to Morrisons in Sutton Road to receive the cheque on behalf of the school. They posed for photos for the Kent Messenger photographer and were excellent ambassadors for the school.
The Morrisons Foundation, a charity set up by the supermarket, awards grants for charity projects which make a positive difference to people’s lives. We are absolutely delighted to have received the support of the Morrisons Foundation and can’t wait to have our new trampoline installed.
