Free Information Workshop

Bower Grove Parent Support will be facilitating a Kent Parent Carer Forum (KPCF) free SEN Information Workshop for parents/carers who have children with a disability and/or additional needs.

The changes and what they will mean to you?

The new Children & Families Bill is due to be introduced in September 2014, which will mean the biggest changes to the SEN system for 30 years. This will affect all families with children with disabilities or additional needs.

A KPCF parent representative will explain the proposed changes including the end of Statement of Educational Needs to be replaced by Educational, Health and Care Plans. The talk will also include information about Personal Budgets and the Local Offer. Through working on the Pathfinder Project Kent Parent Carer Forum (KPCF) have built up a great deal of knowledge and want to share it with families affected.
